Following the resounding success of the inaugural ‘2048: The Future Starts Now’ event in 2023, the event returned for the second time on 31 January 2025.
‘2048: The Future Starts Now’ is an inspiring collaboration between 4Voices, SistersIN, Vocalis Public Speaking and McCANN VA, designed to empower teenage girls from all backgrounds across Northern Ireland. This unique initiative provides the girls with an opportunity for intensive public speaking training and the prestigious chance to deliver a 5-minute speech on their vision for the future of Northern Ireland, at the Senate Chamber in Stormont Parliament Buildings in Belfast.
Founded in 2023 to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Good Friday Agreement, this second event also looked forward to 2048, empowering the next generation to shape our society’s future.
After several months of intensive training, these impressive young leaders honed their confidence and communication skills, delivering powerful speeches that truly inspired an audience of mentors, teachers, community leaders, business professionals and politicians.
